J. Deacy, Lawrence Prior, Is Dead at 76 LAWRENCE, June 15-Very Rev. William J. Deacy, O.S.A., 76, prior of St. Laurence's in Church here and former priestof the Augustinian Brotherhood in the United States, died last night at Bon Secours Hospital.

A native of this city, Fr. Deacy was graduated from Boston College in 1916 as president of his class. He attended Harvard Medical School for one year then shifted to Villanova. He was ordained at Catholic University, Washington, in 1920 by Bishop Joseph Legrand of Africa. He celebrated his first public mass on Christmas Day 1920 in Immaculate Conception Church here.

Fr. Deacy served for many years as prior of Augustinian College, Washington, and as a faculty member at Villanova. He later was assigned as priorrector of St. James Church, Carthage, N.Y., before going to Cuba, as prior of St. Augustine's Church.

He came back to Lawrence from. Cuba Deacy last leaves year. a sister, Mary F. Deacy, retired Lawrence schoolteacher, and a nephew, John J. Deacy of this city.

William E. Soule Jr. Dies in Natick NATICK. June 15-William E. Soule 48, died at his home, 41 Pond yesterday.

He was a salesman with the Anchor Post Products, Newton. Before moving to this town four years ago, Mr. Soule lived in Franklin for many years. He was born in Dorchester, graduated from Newton High School and attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He leaves his wife, Gertrude; a son, John, his mother, Mrs.
