I thought about doing this post and thought it might be too simple, but simple recipes are always the best right? So I decided to do it, so here I am. Hello.
I love fresh apple juice bought from the farmers market stands. Last year I got my hands on a juicer and ever since then I’ve been livin la vida juicing! When we went apple picking last year I spent hours making cider over the stove, simmering it and adding spices, and yes it was delicious – but it was a long process.
When I made flavored apple cider last year my family was “so so” about it, but this year my family can’t get enough of this juice recipe. Matthew is buying me apples left and right, throwing them at me, leaving them under my pillow. I get the hint! Now to make this 1 ingredient apple juice recipe!
Benefits of Juicing
With my juicer I have fresh apple juice within minutes.Juicing, it’s changed my life. The ingredients in this recipe is: Apples. That’s it. No sugars. No honey. No water. No spices. Just good ol apples. And a smile. Every recipe should have a smile.
If you don’t have a juicer, I recommend you stop what you’re doing then rush to Amazon and buy one. This is the one I haveand it’s fantastic for apples, oranges, greens, everything. You know what else rules? Apple and spinach juice. I love that stuff.
This powerful juicer makes juice in seconds! It’s easy to clean and it even comes with a good little scrub brush. It comes with a anti foam cup so you can pour the juice out and not get the foam if you aren’t into that. Anyways, you should get a juicer. If I was Oprah I would yell at you all “YOU’RE GETTING A JUICER! YOU’RE GETTING A JUICER! YOU’RE GETTING A JUICER!” but I’m not Oprah, so I’m sorry.
How to Make Apple Juice
Gather your apples. You can make apple juice from any type of apple but the juicer varieties are the best to get the most juice from. Red Delicious,Gala and Fuji are my favorite apples to use.
Depending on the size of your juicer you might have to cut your apples in half.
Some people like to remove the seeds from the apples before putting in the juicer. This is totally optional and up to you. Apple seeds do contain a small amount of a cyanide compound, but the body can handle this in small amounts without worry. Again, totally up to you. If I’m feeling lazy and want a quick juice I’m probably just going to throw the apples in whole.
A few apples go in and the cup stars to fill up. This is the anti foam cup I was telling you about. When you pour it out into a pitcher or glass, only the juice comes out, the foam is left in this cup.
A few minutes later, a entire pitcher of apple juice was made! Grab a glass and enjoy!
Yes, you can easily freeze apple juice! If you go apple picking, you might be left with many pounds of apples, this is a great recipe to use them in! Freeze juice in freezer safe containers or freezer bags. After thawing out, pour in a cup, and stir as needed. The juice might be a little bit cloudier than usual, but it still tastes delicious!

Apple juice may also be canned. Heat the juice to simmering (185 -210 F). Pour hot juice into jars. Process in a boiling water canner: 5 minutes for pints and quarts; 10 minutes for half gallons.
Free from artificial additives, preservatives, and sweeteners, Lakewood is the best apple juice for health. Freshly pressed juice has a slightly stronger flavor (unless the concentrate has a lot of flavor), and many people like the consistency of still having some fruit pulp.
And for certain people, such as diabetics, it's incredibly important to make sure the sugar levels in juice are safe. An easy way to ensure the health benefits of your juice outweigh the natural sugar content is to have a good balance of vegetables and fruits.
Juices typically have added sugars and a high concentration of carbs, which raises your calorie consumption. Thus, if you drink fresh apple juice instead of entire apples daily, you may gain weight.
For example, juicing 5 fruits can add up to 500 calories and more than 100 grams of sugar, says Zarabi. Women should consume only about 1,500 to 2,000 calories per day, while men can consume up to 2,500.

Sometimes, bigger isn't always better. The NutriBullet Slow Juicer won all our tests hands down. Not only did it extract the most juice in every test, from tough kale to whole apples, but did it more quietly than any other model.

It's possible to lose weight on a juice cleanse. However, this is likely to be water weight, rather than fat. It's important to note that after a few days of juice cleansing, you may also start to lose muscle mass. Maintaining muscle mass during weight loss is very important for your general health.
While most juice offers some nutritional value (e.g., vitamin C, potassium), it doesn't deliver enough to warrant daily consumption. That's because juice is high in sugar and calories and lacks fiber. A better option for reaping fruit's health benefits is to eat fresh fruit in its whole-food form.
Green tea is generally considered the healthiest beverage globally due to its high levels of nutrients and antioxidants that fight off diseases and keep your organ functioning at its optimum level.
When fruits and vegetables are fresh-squeezed or used raw, bacteria from the produce can end up in your juice or cider. Unless the produce or the juice has been pasteurized or otherwise treated to destroy any harmful bacteria, the juice could be contaminated.
Juicing can play a role in a balanced diet. For instance, it can help you get fruits and vegetables if you don't enjoy eating them. Juicing also can give the digestive system a rest from digesting fiber. This may help some people who have certain health conditions or who receive certain medical treatments.
There's no scientific evidence that juice is any better than eating fruit or vegetables. Though a small amount of juice can be part of a healthy diet, you can save money and time in the kitchen — and reduce the risk of consuming too much sugar — by simply eating fruits and vegetables instead.
