Friedson has been the director of international emergency management and global ambassador for the United Hatzalah of Israel since February 2020. Before this role, he was the deputy director of international operations from January 2016 to February 2020.

Friedson was an EMT, first responder, and an international spokesperson from January 2008 to March 2016. During this time, he also served as the president's special assistant and spokesman, where he briefed dignitaries.

In 2015, Friedson earned a master's degree in public health from Tel Aviv University, specializing in crisis, emergency, and disaster management. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in communication and media studies at Reichman University in 2014.

Friedson has an impressive background as a former first responder and firefighter. He served as a first responder at Magen David Adom from June 2004 and December 2009, and as a firefighter at the Jerusalem Fire Department from July 2005 to July 2007.

The emergency call prompted Friedson to join local paramedics and provide medical care to the child before he was taken to the hospital. Friedson expressed gratitude for the opportunity to impact someone's life positively. He said:
