I thought seeing my child hurting was the worst thing ever and have now discovered the worst thing is seeing my grandchild hurting and my child struggling to keep a brave face on. It doesn’t help they are on the opposite side of the country from me but my sliver of light in this is that they are in Montreal and getting the best care possible for kids. Thank you to everyone who donates to sick kids hospitals as they truly are remarkable. Thanks to those who have donated to my daughter as well, being a single mom with a sick child is not the easiest to navigate. For the next year at least, my donations will be going to my daughter after that any money that I make I will donate a percentage of it to BC Sick Kids.

Some days you just need a win. The last three weeks I have been working hard and too tired to muster any energy to do anything after work. Today I needed a win. I read an entire book in one day. Ok it was only a short story that was only thirty pages but I finished something I started so I am taking it as a win. What do you do when you need a small win?
